What does it mean to “think open source” and how does that mindset can bring value to the world beyond our daily work.
Open source is used everywhere today, but for most of the world, the philosophy is still unconventional and not very well understood. It's not something you learn in school.
What if it was something we learnt in school? Openness and sharing. Good governance and democracy. If we look at the world through the perspective of open source, are we underestimating our potential impact? Can open-source practice teach us how to live in a peaceful, free, and democratic society?
About the speaker
I live outside of Oslo, Norway, with my Kiwi wife and two kids. I am a member of the TYPO3 Association Board and have an interest in cross-CMS collaboration, open source, international community building, and web writing. I work with sales, project management, and much more. I am a certified TYPO3 integrator and consultant.
